Jim Feuille | Partner
Jim has more than 20 years experience in investment banking and is currently a partner at Crosslink Capital focusing on software/services investments. Most recently, he was Global Head of Technology Investment Banking at UBS Warburg. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer at Volpe Brown Whelan & Company. Jim was also Head of Technology Investment Banking at Robertson Stephens. Jim holds a BA in Chemistry from Dartmouth College and a JD/MBA from Stanford University.

Robert C. Hawk | Hawk Communications, Inc.
Mr. Hawk is President of Hawk Communications, Inc., a telecommunications company, and retired President and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. West Multimedia Communications, Inc., where he headed the cable, data and telephone communications business from 1985 to 1996. Previously, he was President of the Carrier Division of U.S. West. Mr. Hawk also served as Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning for CXC Corporation, and as a director of Advanced Systems Development for AT&T/American Bell, a telecommunications company. Mr. Hawk currently serves on the boards of several private companies. Mr. Hawk holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco.

Simon James | COO and CFO
Simon currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Escalate Capital Partners. With over 23 years of banking experience in the areas of venture lending, commercial lending and bank operations, Simon was most recently with Comerica Bank, where he served as Chief Administrative Officer of the Technology and Life Sciences Division. Prior to Comerica, He was a Vice President in Silicon Valley Bank's Semiconductor Industry lending practice. Earlier in his career, Simon was a commercial lender with Credit Suisse, the Industrial Bank of Japan and the Banque Nationale de Paris.

Mr. James holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington, Seattle, and maintains a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Ecast
John Taylor | President and CEO
John brings over eighteen years of executive management experience in both Fortune 500 and startup companies to Ecast. He has a proven track record developing new markets and generating revenue growth for leading companies such as Macromedia, Sun Microsystems and NCR and creating new products and technologies for enterprise and new media markets. Most recently, John was the senior director of new business at Macromedia and led the company's effort to enter the enterprise communications market. Prior to joining Macromedia, he was Vice President of broadband at Quokka Sports and was responsible for the company's broadband product and business development efforts. Previously, John was the vice president of sales and business development for Dimension X, a Java multimedia tools company that was acquired by Microsoft. Prior to Dimension X, he held sales and management positions for Illustra Information Technology (acquired by Informix), Sun Microsystems and NCR. John holds a B.S. from Cornell University.

Katie Ford | EVP

Currently executive vice president at Starcom, Katie Ford has over 15 years of experience in driving holistic integration between general market, multicultural, digital and agency partners. Her career has provided a wealth of experience both global and US-based with assignments for clients such as Coca-Cola, Kellogg, Miller, DeVry and Luxxotica. Ford's commitment to innovation has earned her team and clients numerous accolades from Creative Media, Webby and MediaWeek's Plan of The Year Award. Her career highlights include leading the strategic, investment and operation development for 18 brands across all national and local media on the Miller business; successfully launching 15 new beverage brands across the Coca-Cola portfolio, and engineering the first-ever interactive MSN/Yahoo homepage takeovers for the C2 brand launch. Since joining the Starcom Media Group in 1994 as a buyer-planner for Procter & Gamble, Ford has also worked on such accounts as Goodyear, Ricoh, Singapore Tourism Board and Four Seasons.

Ryan Laul | Media Consultant (Digital OOH, Social, Mobile, and Emerging Media Technology Specialist)

Ryan Laul recently headed up Posterscope USA's Digital Division ' Hyperspace ' overseeing all U.S. Hyperspace offices with responsibility for the digital OOH media implementation of all Posterscope's U.S. accounts. Laul started in Posterscope's Outdoor Vision division, where he was account director on such accounts as CVS, Motorola, Schick, TV Guide, New Balance, TYCO, New Line Cinema, Lacoste and Reebok. Most notably he was a driving force behind Motorola's OOH resurgence in 2005 - 06, helping the brand launch their RAZR, SLVR and Q mobile devices. Laul started his OOH career in 2003 at Zenith Media in their NY Office - OOH Group. His work there garnered back-to-back Best of Times Square / Sunset Strip Awards for Maker's Mark and Tylenol. Ryan currently sits on the OVAB Agency Advisory Board, as well as OAAA Technology and Interactive Committees.

Dan Pelson | EVP, Sony Music

Dan Pelson is an internet and media entrepreneur who is a recognized pioneer in developing innovative consumer-focused business models. He is currently an Executive Vice President at Sony Music Entertainment, responsible for the music company's global "Direct to Consumer" operations. Previously, he founded and served as CEO of uPlayMe, a social networking service that connects people through the digital media they consume. Before uPlayMe he served as CEO of Bolt, Inc., an ad-supported media portal that registered over 9 million members and generated over $50MM in revenue with ad clients including P&G, AOL, Ford, and ATT Wireless. Dan also started Concrete Media, a successful Internet services business that incubated online media properties such as Girls on Film, which sold to Oxygen Media in 1998. Dan began his career at Sun Microsystems, where he focused on breaking the company into the media industry.

Julie Shumaker

Julie is one of the best-known executives in the in-game advertising industry. Formerly EA's National Director of Sales, Videogame Advertising, she established EA as the number one seller of integrated advertising placements in games. Last year, Julie brought top-tier advertisers into thirteen video games and their respective online community properties, capping a five-year tenure where she increased year-on-year revenues by more than 60%. Prior to her work at EA, Julie drove sponsorships and advertising sales on Yahoo! Inc.'s FIFA World Cup site. Before joining Yahoo, Shumaker was director of sponsorship sales for Quokka Sports and its joint venture with NBC, where she introduced advertising, product placement and branded entertainment programming through media vehicles like nbcolympics.com, usopen.com and finalfour.net.

Brian Terkelsen | President, connectivetissue, MediaVest USA

As President, connectivetissue, Brian Terkelsen is charged with developing entertainment-marketing solutions for MediaVest clients, simultaneously leveraging relationships, consumer understanding and brand knowledge.

Brian has been in the entertainment marketing industry since 1992 and has extensive experience working with MTV, ESPN and Discovery Channel. In 1995, he served as Executive Producer on MTV Eco-Challenge and ESPN Extreme Games. He also co-produced Discovery Channel's Eco-Challenge on-site in British Columbia (1996) and Australia (1997).

Brian's passion for adventure racing began in 1992 when he co-founded Eco-Challenge Lifestyles, Inc. where he introduced, developed and marketed the sport of adventure racing to television networks and corporate sponsors. He also created the official Eco-Challenge website for which he produced live Eco-Challenge event coverage in 1996.

Most recently, Brian was General Manager of Be Here Technologies, Inc., where he directly managed the Sales, Marketing and Production Groups as well as the sale of broadcast services to Entertainment Tonight, NBC, NBA, 2002 Winter Olympics and HBO Sports. Prior to this, he served three years (1998-2001) as Group General Manager of Quokka Sports, Inc. where he conceived and negotiated programming deals in the adventure and sailing space.

David Wadhwani | SVP & GM, Digital Media Business Unit, Adobe Systems Incorporated

As senior vice president and general manager of the Digital Media business unit, David Wadhwani leads Adobe's development of solutions for content publishers, digital artists and storytellers, and application developers. He oversees the full range of the creative products from core content creation for photography, imaging and video to interactive media using HTML5 and Flash® technology to efficiently and richly target the increasing number of mobile devices and internet connected televisions. Wadhwani is also responsible for end-to-end media solutions for digital publishing and video distribution and monetization, as well as Adobe’s document exchange services, which provide leading productivity tools for businesses around the world.

Prior to his current role, Wadhwani was vice president and general manager of Adobe's Platform business unit. He joined Adobe in 2005 through the acquisition of Macromedia, where he was vice president, responsible for Macromedia’s developer products. Prior to his time at Macromedia, Wadhwani founded and managed iHarvest, a Web content-management company that was acquired by Interwoven. He also worked in Business Intelligence at Oracle.

Wadhwani is on the board of directors of the San Francisco Education Fund and sits on the Brown University Advisory Committee on Computing and IT. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Brown University.
